Just a few letters Techayeinu received from grateful recipients.

I want to thank you for the great chessed you did.

I am divorced, and my children are so broken… We didn’t know what would be before Yom Tov.

Suddenly, you appeared. You literally saved us! You brought happiness into our home..

No matter how much we thank you, it isn’t enough to express our gratitude for the way you saved us. You gave us such a respectable sum. I was trying to figure out how to pay for Yom Tov. I strengthened myself with emunah that Hashem would help us, just like He helped us until now. And He sent us a faithful messenger. In your zechus, we had simchas Yom Tov

I wanted to thank you for what you did for my sister, a widow. She has very difficult nisyonos and accepts it all with love, yet her plight causes her tremendous pain. She has four sons and three daughters who are not well. One doesn’t hear and can hardly walk; one can hardly see; one can’t get out of bed, and so on…

Do you know what it means to bring joy to such a family? Only Hashem can repay you, as the Rambam says that one who gladdens a widow is compared to the Shechinah. May Hashem bless with, and may you always be His messengers to help Am Yisrael…

On behalf of myself and my children, I wanted to thank you... My children have been orphans for years, and they know that when there’s no father, there’s no simchas Yom Tov. We used to go on trips, we used to buy meat for Yom Tov. And now, in your zechus, we were able to feel simchas Yom Tov. We were able to go on a trip and to buy meat and sweet drinks for the children. We had a joyous Yom Tov. Only Hashem can repay you…

…A widow has good memories and a kever to visit, where she can cry. A divorced woman only has suffering that never ends… I want to tell you about the great chessed you did for me and my family in Tishrei. I live in Tzefas… I’ve been divorced for almost 14 years. Until I received my get, I went through unbelievable yissurim that could fill pages with blood and tears… My husband would only give me a get if I gave him everything; I gave him my apartment, everything, and was left with nothing. The main thing was to be free, but since then I’ve lived in terrible poverty.

I married off my children alone. I have no family… Only Hashem helped me not to fall into despair… Three of my sons left yeshivah. One of my sons requires dialysis and a kidney transplant in chutz la’aretz. I need financial assistance, and I’m all alone…

Then, in Tishrei, you deposited money into my account twice. What a miracle: Hashem sent me precious angels like you to bring joy to my broken heart and gladden my children.

If Rebbe Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev were alive, he would shout, “Ribbono shel Olam, how can You not bring Mashiach when there are such Jews…”
